What I Offer

Therapeutic Coaching and Psychotherapy

As a BACP (Accredited) psychotherapist, coach and supervisor, I have spent the last 24 years of my life, developing, evolving and researching, (during my MA), the fine line between therapy and coaching. Through this unfolding evolution and reflective practice, I have developed an integrative blend of coaching, psychotherapy and consultancy, designed always to fit the needs of my client; coachee, supervisee or organisation.

I have had the privilege of working within many large and small organisations and businesses, as well as the public and third sector, as an executive Coach, Consultant and Trainer. I particularly enjoy progressing inequalities for women and other minorities in the workplace, as well as Coaching senior teams to review direction, create change, align values and improve efficiency.

EMDR Intensive work for individuals

EMDR is an 8 stage protocol that tackles all levels of negative experience, trauma or PTSD. It is used all over the world to resolve all levels of past distress, safely and effectively. Once the trauma to be worked on is identified, EMDR is best done in intensive half or one day interventions, which may resolve past trauma or experience, quickly and effectively.

Confidential business client testimonial:

“I found EMDR with Gill to be a transformative, calming, intense therapeutic treatment opening up a fluid style of re-engagement and free expression. The process respects the impact of past trauma, acknowledges and challenges the emotional distress caused, ultimately helping to re-appraise and minimize its influence.
I would highly recommend this wonderful treatment to anyone who is suffering with unresolved emotional distress from their past and who is looking to move forward and elevate their well-being and strengthen their sense of self”.

At an initial consultation, we will determine together, a way forward to resolve your issues and there is no issue that EMDR will not help, personal or professional.

Therapeutic Couple Coaching

I work face-to-face with couples looking to overcome relational or family challenges and move towards greater closeness and unity. Together we can safely explore whether desired change is possible and work to create that change or safely, kindly and effectively, uncouple.

Couple Coaching is powerful as it addresses directly what has gone wrong in the relationship and enables progress to move forward.

Couple EMDR can be utilised to enable the clearance of past or present relational trauma and enable bad memories or experiences to simple become memories, removing any personal triggers in the present. The goal is to clear the ‘baggage’ of the past and create a new and better way of relating together for a positive future.

Clinical Supervison

I am a passionate advocate for safe and ethical practice and a pioneering force who was determined to find a safe home within BACP for the growing number of therapists who coach, because the combination works!

In my work as a clinical supervisor, I work with therapeutic coaches and supervisors to enable the effective integration of both and the development of a healthy, profitable, sustainable practice.

As a supervisor, I encourage deep professional reflection through empathic challenge, intellectual flexibility, curiosity and creativity. I will support you in every possible way I can, providing a safe trusting space in which you can bring ethical concerns, client complexities, self-doubt, ambiguity and uncertainty. Then together we will find the best way forwards for your clients and for you.

I will assist you in developing your practice, your business and your self-worth. I see your physical and mental well being as vital to the sustainability of you and your work. Therapeutic coaching can be dynamic challenging work, especially at these challenging times. I take a whole person approach to practitioner self-care and see it as necessary in the prevention of burnout.

If necessary or required, I will offer insight, psycho-education or alternative approaches to my supervisee with client welfare at the heart of everything we do. I will ensure, to the best of my ability, that ethical guidelines and professional standards are maintained.

Please text, email or call to set up an initial consultation to explore your therapeutic goals. I look forward to working with you.
